    The Sophie Conran look -- stylish, modern, warm

    I've been slowly building out my Sophie Conran dinner ware and service ware. I love the design, which is both clean and modern but also a warm and organic. The covered butter dish is perfect to go from the fridge to the dining table. I have plates, bowls, coffee mugs, a platter...and now an adorable butter dish. My kitchen is looking good!

    I love this little dish--my only problem with it is the lid doesn't fit flush with the container rim, allowing air to get to the butter.

    More than just a butter dish

    This dish is a very well made standard kitchen butter dish, however, quite nice enough to go from kitchen counter to fine dining at your dinner table and is quite versatile. I particularly like the design of a deep butter dish with a flat easy to grasp top that fits down into the dish. I think it keeps the dish from becoming messy on the edges like most do and the butter stays well protected deep in the dish. Just my preference. The design is not a traditional butter dish so I have also used it to serve jellies and other spreads or delicate sauces and I can just replace the top and go from table to refrigerator again without mess or having to transfer the contents to another dish. I am very happy with it.

    Nice butter dish, but has a little lid issue (only in one direction though).

    I like the dish..., it's nice and roomy, however the only issue is with the lid. If you put the lid on backwards (which you can't tell IS backwards), the lid wobbles just a tad (doesn't fit perfectly flush). When that happens, I just turn the lid around to go the other way, and then it's fine. If you don't mind that fluke, then I'd recommend it.
