About this product

Product Information

For you to enjoy me (and for me to enjoy you, too) there are some important facts about me which you should know before you try to handle or ride me. "I am a Horse. My name in Latin is Equus. From this name comes the word 'equine' which means something to do with a horse, and the word 'equestrian, ' which means one who rides a horse." With this, Happy Horsemanship starts you and your child on a most wonderful journey. Told from the point of view of the horse, this little gem introduces every aspect of riding and caring for horses--from body to mind, from tack to riding position.

  • This is my favorite book for young beginners.

The print is big and the whole book is easy to understand for step by step instructions for riding. The young rider can read this book and follow with the pictures. I even enjoyed reading the book as I was a first time rider at age 45. It get's right to the point of feeding, grooming, tack, and riding. I keep an extra book on hand for any new riders that stop by my house.

  • Happy Horsemanship

This is a great book for children. I bought it after an instructor friend recommended it to me. It contains lots of good information in story form, teaches care of and kindness for horses. I liked it so much, I have bought more than one copy to give to young riders.

  • Fabulous and Fun!

*************GREAT! and very fun to read for all ages!************* I read it when I was a wee thing...just brings back memories..great training tool and makes learning a whole lot more enjoyable!************

  • Happy Horsemanship

This is an excellent book for beginning riders. My daughter buys one for every riding student and recommends it to anyony who is going to be riding. I am not a beginning rider and I love this book.
