    The Civil War Trilogy by Father and Son

    Jeff Shaara has written BOTH a prequel and a sequel to his late father's Pulitzer Prize winning novel, "The Killer Angels," from which the motion picture "Gettysburg" was derived. "The Last Full Measure" is the story of what happened to the nation, especially the South, after the decisive Battle of Gettysburg. Civil War devotees will treasure this trilogy, including the prequel "Gods and Generals" and include it in their libraries. These books are not just history books, but a study in character of the principles known to most people: Robert E. Lee, U.S. Grant, "Stonewall" Jackson, Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, Winfield Hancock - most all the generals, wearing both blue and gray. "Must" reading for any American history ...
