    Plastic handle broke after just a few throws

    The metal blade is good, but the plastic handle broke after just a few throws. It fits onto a standard broom handle, so it can be used as a spear. I plan to cut a broom handle short to allow it to be thrown as a knife again. The top "edge" is not sharp, but I was able to sharpen it with a file and then regular sharpening methods after i got a basic blade shape formed.

    For show, not use.

    There are three general parts: the blade, the hilt with female threads for broom handle attachment, and the handle end for use without broom handle. Of those three, only the blade is metal. The plastic threads to attach to handles are not confidence-inspiring in the least.

    PROS. 1) small light weight. 2) screws on any broom handle. 3) balanced 4) good price 5) the "slot " in the middle has many uses, that I have found. CONS. 1) 1/2 the handle is plastic. ( the part that screws on the handle is pot metal ) 2) only sharp on one side. 3) I used some teflon tape on the threads to keep it nice and tight 4) the sheath is a little cheap

    legal carry

    This is a good quality look alike spear, it looks like a spear BUT it isn't, because one side is blade to cut and the other side is not sharp, the blade is 4.5 inches from tip to handle,unbelievable! This means I can carry it in public in Texas, I don't know about other states. I recommend it for defense and outdoors life.
