Take screw out of back and pry open top. Draw a diagram of patches of wires you need to pull free of motherboard(keep track of colors). Remove 3 screws of motherboard and lift up and to the front (must take nut off antenna first). This exposes bottom screws of fan. Remove all four screws and replace fan. This fan is missing a hole in bottom right corner. Secure with three screws. Place motherboard back and connect all . Used Jakemy YF-P13 pro tech tool kit and MH1047L Head Magnifier from Amazon.

Works great on my OTA roamio tivo. Had my TiVo OTA for less than a month bought new and the fan started making very loud noises.my choice was send in under warranty but then would have to ship the TiVo off and wait for return on top of losing all recorded shows. Bought this fan and watched a YouTube video on replacement super easy. Almost two years have past and the fan and tivo still going strong.Works great on my OTA roamio tivo. Not Sure It's Worth It
At this point I can't say it's worth it. It was easy enough to install but I ended up reusing the original screws. I tried using the 3 rubber stakes that came with it but it's all but impossible to get all 3 in without ruining at least 1 (even after removing the hard drive). My problem with this fan is that after a couple of days it began making a little noise. Not as bad as the original fan but I'm not feeling very confident that I won't need to replace this one soon too.At this point I can't say it's worth it. It was easy enough to install but I ended up reusing the original screws. Works for me! No silicone mounts with mine, which is a Good Thing.
For me, this fan arrived without any of the goofy silicone mounts that others have complained about having to remove, so I was able to just install mine quite easily. It works great and is WAY quieter than the old failing one that it replaced. When my Tivo Roamio OTA is idling, I can only hear it if I put my head within 1 foot of the Tivo. And it is also still quite quiet, and not at all annoying even when the Tivo is doing something.For me, this fan arrived without any of the goofy silicone mounts that others have complained about having to remove, so I was able to just install mine quite easily. Great fan at a great price!
This fan is a great (and much cheaper) replacement for what has proven to be a weak part for the TIVO Roamio. It is quiet and fits in the same position as the original minus 1 screw. One of the four original screw positions has the power wires in that area (so don’t try to put all four screws in or you will probably cause the fan not to operate! I tried a cheaper fan from another source and it was louder than the one that had started to malfunction!This fan is a great (and much cheaper) replacement for what has proven to be a weak part for the TIVO Roamio. It is quiet and fits in the same position as the original minus 1 screw. My Tivo is quiet again!
The fan fit and worked perfectly in my Tivo Roamio OTA. Had it installed for a couple of weeks and it is nice a quiet. I decided to leave out the 2 lower screws so if I have to replace it again it will be a 5-minute super easy job.
