About this product

Product Information

How would you react if told that you and your children have been lied to in science lessons at school and university? Yet this is exactly what has been happening for decades, as Icons of Evolution' demonstrates. The author, a Berkeley Ph.D in Biology, is not a creationist, but his book describes many serious misrepresentations of facts commonly found in biology textbooks, which are used to perpetuate belief in evolution. The main part of the book describes ten of these icons', devoting one chapter to each, and shows what is wrong with them in the light of published scientific evidence. The chapters are all fairly brief, and each is divided into short sections, to make the material easier to assimilate. The author's thesis is amply documented with 71 pages of research notes at the end of the book.

  • Icons of Evolution

Great fun as the author exposes the weak points of each of these great religious symbols of Evolution. Whether you are a Believer in the dogma, skeptical, or just plain curious, you owe it to yourself to consider each of Well's positions and refute it if you can. Compare, for example, against Dawson who ends his arduous search in The Ancestor's Tale at the Miller-Urey experiment. Wells begins his assault in the same place. The primordial pool of amino acids? This requires a huge leap of what resembles religious Faith: Dawson: "...the Earth's original atmosphere was of course completely different --- it must have been. Only this suits my (our) theory." Wells: "Scientists themselves refute this and hold conclusions relying on Miller-Urey as not tenable. There is no evidence of the ...
