      Mel Bay Chord Book

      I used this 50 years ago, when I was learning to play the guitar. I taught guitar for many years, and most of my students learned quick and easy. I just purchased this because my Granddaughter wants to learn, so I’ll only use the tried and proven method I’ve always gone to, Mel Bay’s Guitar Chords.

      When I first began playing guitar about 40 years ago, this was the chord book my dad bought me to learn my guitar chords. Now that I am not on the road any more playing music, I take an occasional guitar student or two. I bought the Mel Bay Guitar Chords book once again for those beginner students to borrow so that we didn’t have to spend lesson time learning chords. This book is really meant for the beginner guitar player and the little pictures showing what your hand should look like when you finger the chord you are trying to learn are…well, a picture is worth a thousand words. Of course there are many ways to play an E major chord or a G chord, but like I say, this is a beginner’s book and is super for giving a beginning player a base line knowledge of chords.       Mel Bay's Guitar Chords

      I bought my wife a guitar for her 66th birthday because she said that always wanted to learn to play the guitar. She has just begun playing the guitar after all these years. She has been using this book now for 2 weeks and she has already learned many chords and is strumming away! She didn't know how this was going to fly, but, now she is really enjoying playing the guitar!!!

      This book clearly shows most chords that you'll ever need in a way that's easy to understand. This book is an excellent learning tool for beginners.       This is the perfect book for anyone wanting to learn guitar. I love how easy it is to understand. There's just pages upon pages of chords. Simple laid out in a way, that anyone could use to learn guitar. It's arranged in a photo diagram form so you just open it up and learn to play. I love Mel Bay's chord books and find them best for beginners because of this easy to understand photo diagram method.
