traxxas rules
I have 16 Traxxas rc trucks and cars most nitro IMO they are great the only problem with the engines are the rods I had the davis rods are the way to go. now I do my own. when I called traxxas they say I'm leaning the engnie to much BUT I have bought a brand new one ran 5 tanks per instructions never touched the carb and had rods brake. I just want to say first. I have bought plenty of these revo trucks 3.3 they are great trucks. This truck that I bought I have had problems from day one every screw on the truck was lose I mean every screw on start up I burnt the spur gear before I even broke it in. I am not new to nitro and I have spent tens of thousands on these toys cars, trucks, planes this is the only time I have had problems on this level forward gear shredded first time I went off road I've been through two reverse gears had to replace receiver in the truck differential broke cluch spring was broke on the truck befor I ever started it that's why it burnt the spur gear like I said every screw was lose so I went through the whole truck put thread lock on all the screws in a few places the screw hole was stripped ... I know it was not the seller fault the box was sealed with plastic I had to come from the factory like this I don't know what happened with this truck. Like I said I am not new to hobby but this was a bad truck sometime it's just one or two things that need to be tweaked like cvd joint would need shrink wrap on the mammoth or maybe tires need to be glued thing like that but this revo was a true mess and even the tires on this truck who ever put them together was in a rush completely out of wack almost like the rim was bent but its not its just the way it was glued I have owned the truck now for a month or so and have put about 30+ hours in to fixing this or that to make it the way it should be not to mention the $100 or so dollars I've had to put into it to make it right what I should have done is return it to traxxas as soon as I found out every screw was stripped lose or missing from this truck but I did not. i got stuck with a lemon I'm just glad it was me who ended up with this truck rather than some young boy just starting out on this wonderful hobby. because I'm sure it would have made them think twice about ever owning another nitro rc toy. I don't know what else to say this was a bad purchase for me I lost all the way around. Keep in mind traxxas revo is still the best rc nitro truck you can buy with that awesome 3.3 and easy start I would chose now other I own 6 of these trucks now and have had more than 12 over the years. Traxxas in my eye is still the best even though I feel screwed on this one this is my newest one and will probably be my last for some time do to economic reasons this was my last toy I am aloud to buy my other half will not allow any more of because of this one truck she knows all of the problems I've had. And I have to admit she's probably rite who can afford this to happen I payed over $560.00 put over 30 hours fixing and over $100.00 in repair before I could rely on it to get through one tank of fuel with out a problem. But now that all is fixed my family and I are having a blast with this and the rest of my toys.

this is a very tough durable truck with alot of room to improve on !!!!!
hello all . i am totally blown away by the quality of this truck . mine was awsome rt out of the box,, however with all the upgrades ive done . i find the 3.3 just an amazingly tough rig to run .i dont recomend aluminum arms how ever, i have them on my show truck but love the RPM arms , also a real good upgrade is the rpm true track it really takes the guess work out of the rear end set up .. the 3.3 TRX engine is a work horse and delivers pleny of power , although it can be a little tricky to tune. there are plenty of blogs on tuning and alot of the drivers have it mastered. The Revo 3.3 in the out of box version runs excellent without mod's. Traxxas has done an excellent build as usual . Buy with confidence !
