Synopsis
Critical Praise... "In my interviews with over 30 of the best traders of our time, there were some questions that I raised in each conversation. One of these was: Are there any books that you found particularly valuable and would recommend to aspiring traders? By far, the most frequent response was Reminiscences of a Stock Operator-a book that was over 70 years old!" - from the Foreword by Jack Schwager , author of Market Wizards and The New Market Wizards "Although Reminiscences.was first published some 70 years ago, its take on crowd psychology and market timing is as timely as last summer's frenzy on the foreign exchange markets." - Worth magazine "The most entertaining book written on investing is Reminiscences of a Stock Operator , by Edwin Lefevre, first published in 1923." - The Seattle Times "The best book I've read is Reminiscences of a Stock Operator . I keep a supply for people who come to work for me." - Martin Zweig "After 20 years and many re-reads, Reminiscences is still one of my all-time favorites." - Kenneth L. Fisher Forbes First published in 1923, Reminiscences of a Stock Operator is the fictionalized biography of Jesse Livermore, one of the greatest speculators ever. Reminiscences remains the most widely read, highly recommended investment book ever written. Generations of investors have found that it has more to teach them about themselves and other investors than years of experience in the market. This is a timeless tale that will enrich the lives-and portfolios-of today's investors as it has those of generations past., Critical Praise... • Must read for stock and commodity traders

This book is not about reading charts, the Wall Street Journal or any of the so-called experts newsletters. In fact it clearly recommends not reading newsletters for the simple fact that newsletters are the writer's opinions - and they are not always right. I will tell you I have traded commodities and stocks for years. So far, I have not finished the book - yet I have learned something about trading that earned me over $1,000 in one day on a single trade. I won't tell you what I learned - you will have to read the book yourself. What I like most about the book is the psychology of trading because trading is more about psychology than anything else. It clearly shows you the two greatest enemies of traders - greed and fear - and how to conquer those two thieves. Buy the book, get your ...

    • A must read book for anyone interested in stock market

This is a classic book written about stock market in early 20th century. Like any other classic book, it is timeless. The material in this book is true today, as it was true on those days. I would recommend it to anybody who has an interest in the stock market. The book is written in the novel, instead of how to, format. Novel format does not outline a procedures to follow ex-placidly, so there are no clearly written procedure to follow in this book, though you can infer some rules when reading the book. On the other hand, novel format lets you communicate much finer detail of the subject that can not be written in the procedural format.
