    Great modem at a good price if you don't need giga bite speeds.

    It was easy to connect but I spent a good half hour on the phone with Comcast before they could get the phone to connect. They kept rebooting the router and asking it everything was working. After several tries everything was working. Issue was on Comcast's end not with the modem. I think I would have had the same issue with any user purchased modem. Don't waste your time trying Comcast's online registration of your cable modem, just call them to get it registered and working over the phone.

    Will pay for itself in less than a year

    Although the listing says Comcast Xfinity, it also works with Cablevision, which is what I have. It took very little time to set up. I did attempt to set up following the on-line self installation, but I eventually had to call optimum and there was no problem at all in getting it set up. I wished I had done this years ago instead of paying to rent the modem each month. Very pleased!

    Great Modem for the price.

    Just as stated and works perfectly. I was able to have Comcast take back the modem I was renting from them. Set up did take a phone call to Comcast but that was painless and only a few minutes to get it working without much technical ability on my part. We have four tv's two lap tops, desk top Apple TV, two iPad four phones and an iPod using it with good speeds. Oh, an a landline.

    Great value and performance.

    I switched from Verizon to Xfinity (Triple Play) and the Arris Surfboard modem was the perfect choice at a great price. I used my Verizon combination router/modem as my router with the Arris modem. I didn’t need to do anything with my wireless devices (iPhone and iPad) or computer.

    Required lengthy tech assistance from Comcast. Not just a "plug & play" operation.

    It took 45 minutes on the phone with the Comcast tech. guy, but I finally got the phone signal to quit blinking and got a dial tone.
