  • Classic Kenton Charts In Classic Stereophonic Sound

Years ago I had the cassette tape titled "Comprehensive Kenton". Not being able to find that collection in CD, this is the next best thing. Hi-Fi is a solid collection of classics with that great full 2-channel sound typical of the early 1960's "Stereophonic" recordings. The recording sounds live - you feel like you are in a room with the big band. A great showcase of the band's talents and Kenton's artistry in arrangements.

  • Kenton lives on

    Excellent cd reproduction

  • The clue is in the title. I bought this on 33 1/3 new.

Great progressive jazz arrangements with an orchestra that come on like a Budweiser horse. From the first track to the last it is great.

  • Best Jazz Album Ever! 1956

Simply the most technical Jazz album of all time. 1956 year of release, when musicians had to know their instrument in Full circle.
