Product Information

Faye (Lesley Ann Warren) is a prim and proper college instructor whose marriage is suffering. Her husband, Whitney (Robert Logan), works evenings, and when he loses his job at the Kennedy Space Center, he becomes even more removed and isolated, leaving Faye frustrated and lonely. When Faye's wisecracking sister (Deborah Rush) comes to town she drags Faye to Heaven, an exotic strip club where Faye is shocked to discover Ricky (Christopher Atkins), one of her young male students, moonlighting as an exotic dancer. Ricky is a smooth-talking young stud who Faye has failed in her class. When he discovers Faye in the audience he whisks her off her feet, and what begins as a torrid prank becomes real sexual attraction. Soon Faye is sneaking off to see Ricky perform and, despite her better judgement, she has an affair with her young student. However, one passionate night of torrid sexual fascination causes Faye to re-examine her marriage and the real source of her loneliness. Director John G. Avildsen's film features erotic and flashy dance sequences set to a rocking soundtrack.

The movie is fine but dated. Know what you're getting before you buy.
One reviewer indicated that this DVD is NOT the original - that a scene had either been edited or cut. This is not the case. The original moview, released in 1983 and ran 83 minutes. The VHS was released in 1985 and ran 83 minutes and the DVD (at least the copy shown) was released in 2005 and, once again, runs 83 minutes. If the reviewer was indicating that a "pan and scan" editing was done rather than widescreen it would make no difference to the content of the movie. But, having seen the movie when released to the theatre, having owned the VHS for many years and now owning the DVD I cannot see there there have been any edits or deletions from the original release - of course I saw the original a long long time ago and could be mistaken. Silly putty prices for this DVD
Have to chime in because I have to laugh at the ridiculous prices scalpers are trying to get for this flick. This is not the old days of Blockbuster Video when VHS tapes cost $80 people. As I recall this was not even a theatrical release, I seem to remember it as a made for TV movie. If the crazy prices are because this Atkins kid takes off his shirt a few times, you've got to be kidding. The real reason to get this movie is the luscious and seductive Lesley Ann Warren. What a gorgeous woman, one of my all time favorites. I have this "safe" version of the movie, but the version to look for that I treasure and have is the uncut unedited "hard R" version which shows a lot more of Ms Warren's gorgeous, lovely "heavenly" body. How I would love to find Lesley's lost slipper and slip it on the ... Have to chime in because I have to laugh at the ridiculous prices scalpers are trying to get for this flick. This movie is not the original movie once shown at the theaters back in the 1980's. The original movie was obviously edited for the 2005 remake (And I call it a remake because of the scene that was replaced) of this dvd. The main theme of the movie was left intact. If you like the original movie, this is not the dvd to buy. I wonder if there even is a copy of the original movie on dvd? Corny, but I still like to watch it
This is not a movie that would have done well at theaters, but there's some pretty steamy scenes in it and some good actors, so I like it.
