    Spare Yourself Grief, Get the "Factory" O-Rings!

    Swapping the heater core in a 2001 Volvo V-70 is hard enough with the perfectly fitting factory o-rings, even after lubricating them with fresh coolant or plumber's grease! Don't make the mistake of thinking aftermarket o-rings are "close enough"! Either they will leak or you will not be able to re-insert the supply and return tubes into their sockets in the heater core, as "tolerances" are hardly that and "access" is a one-word oxymoron! Believe me, you'll need all the help you can get, and you won't want to do it twice when it leaks! The originals lasted me over 15 years, and the OE rings went "right in" and held fast, and I'm looking forward to never doing this job again!
