Carole King - Tapestry CD
A classic, one of the best albums ever. I went out and bought this CD after watching the play about Carole King's life - I had absolutely NO idea she wrote so many songs that we all know and love! The play gave me a whole new perspective and understanding of song writing - but I digress... Anyone who appreciates quality music and, particularly, smart and meaningful lyrics, should own this album.A classic, one of the best albums ever. I went out and bought this CD after watching the play about Carole King's life - I had absolutely NO idea she wrote so many songs that we all know and love! The play gave me a whole new perspective and understanding of song writing - but I digress... Anyone who appreciates quality music and, particularly, smart and meaningful lyrics, should own this album.

A must have for your music library!
I got this title on CD as a Christmas gift back in 1996, along with several other "starter CDs". Before that, I had the album on tape, and a scratched copy of the original LP. After a while, the tape was gone as was the LP when I bought a better condition copy of the album on LP (but didn't want another tape). Tapestry was (and still is) one of the most famous albums in the history of American music entertainment. It was a staple in many people's homes since its release in early 1971, and, after more than forty-two years later, it still retains its enormous fame. I have the original CD issue of this album; not a later CD reissue, and two copies of the LP. The songs are just so wonderful to listen to as is Carole's voice. Tapestry - King, Carole (CD 1986)
This CD brought back my teenage yrs. I bought it for my Best Friends 50th Birthday. We met in our 8th grade yr of Jr. High & even though we have both moved around somewhat over the years. We try & see each other once or twice a yr & we keep in touch by phone & e-mail. Our friendship has spanned over 38 yrs & counting. We have cryed and laughed through good time & bad together. Carole King was one of her fav's & I hope she will enjoy this. Anytime I hear a Carole King song, I think of BFF. Thanks for bringing back good memories of a simpler life, I think the old album cost more than I payed for this CD including the shipping, so how can anyone complain about that. Old favorite
I used to listen to Carol King (and James Taylor) nonstop growing up. Not long ago, I saw the musical Beautiful. It brought back those memories and prompted me to buy the cd to listen to it again. What joy!

Carol King is one of the greatest singer/songwriters of my generation and "Tapestry" is a prime example of that! Do yourself a favor whether you are mt age and remember her music or you're younger and looking for meaningful songs to enjoy and buy this cd!
