Using all the special techniques and supernatural abilities at their disposal, epic heroes and notorious villains do battle this 3D fighting game. Melees play out in open environments where walls can be smashed and the sky is, quite literally, the limit. The game offers 13 playable characters at the start, each designed to control and perform differently. Small, agile characters may take more damage from a solid hit, but larger characters are slower, and it may be more difficult for them to leap skyward or dodge incoming attacks. <br><br>Although based on the popular animé series and designed to offer the same style of high-flying 3D brawls as fan favorites in Atari's Dragon Ball Z: Budokai series, Super Dragon Ball Z was developed by Crafts & Meister, a studio formed by creators of the coin-op classic Street Fighter II. It is a great game, but a novelty unless you know someone else that will invest the time in it. Once you learn it, the AI from the computer opponents will be easy cake. Like any fighting game, at least decent ones, it has the same problem as most. Button mashers meet good players. Button mashers get turned off, there are not enough good players in your area, at least that you know, to bother learning the meat of the engine. Until games like this get proper online play, so the good players have competition, then they will be reviewed O.K., and then forgotten. There is a HUGE sub culture out there for fighting games. The first company to get it right with online play will prosper, and be copied. It will happen in the next five years, lag free online play, with balanced fighters. The reason ... Super Dragonball Z
Super Dragonball Z is different from DBZ Budokai/Tenkaichi. It has a Street Fighter-esque type of feel to it. Its not quite as flashy as DBZ Budokai/Tenkaichi but still fun. The controls are simple and you'll get the hang of it in 10-30 minutes. There are a good number of characters to choose from. Unlike the previous DBZ games there is no story mode in the game which usually makes the DBZ games worth playing. I recommend this game for DBZ fans and also for those that want to try a unique fighting game. This game is def. for not those wanting to play a hard core fighting game like Tekken or those wanting to see a really flashy game like the previous DBZ games. You'll get to customize your character to make them even stonger and you even get to tke some abilites from other character and ... Super Dragonball Z is different from DBZ Budokai/Tenkaichi. This is a must for any DBZ fan. personally I HATE THE DUBBED VOICES! FUNIMATION DESTROYED THE SERIES ON CARTOON NETWORK. DBZ IS NOT AND WAS NOT INTENDED FOR LITTLE KIDS. ANY HOO. THIS GAME IS ALITTLE STIFF. ONLY THREE MAN BUTTONS FOR ATTACKS WITH SIMPLE MOVES. LIKE I SAID IF YOURE A BIG FAN THEN THIS IS A MUST IF YOURE A TRUE GAMER AND LIKE GOOD FIGHTING GAMES THIS GAME WILL GIVE YOU A BIT OF A CHALLENGE BUT YOU MAY GROW BORED OF IT QUICKLY DUE TO THE THREE MOVES ONLY. I DUNNO WHY BEJITA DOESN'T SAY FINAL FLASH HE SAYS SOME OTHER CRAP FOR ONE OF HIS FINAL MOVES. ICK. THANK GOD IT WAS ONLY 10.00 BUCKS I THINK ITS WORTH LESS!
