Great value, and this was the rare computer "easy" purchase and ready to use. The RAID card came with an EDLC / BBU as well as the cachevault card to give good performance. The card was basically pristine. I highly recommend this seller. No kidding. I will be buying from them again.

Item as described and quick shipping. These run hot, so adequate cooling is required.

  • Good RAID Card

Using for a RAID 10 array, replacing an old HP P420 controller. Setup menu is a little clunkier, but it gets the job done. I haven't done any benchmarking, but my VMs in ESXI 6.7u3 boot noticeably faster now. storcli is ugly and confusing. It took a bit of googling to figure out how to get the information I wanted out of it. I think there's a GUI for Windows, which would make life easier for that environment.

  • Nice controller, chip is running hot and require a server-class case ventilation.

Working great, though chip is running really hot (75C in 3 cm of 120mm Noctua fan!). In well-ventilated server case it will not be a problem, but in large Chieftec tower had to attach 40mm Noctua fan directly to chip heatsink via two 3mm cable ties. Temp dropped to 51C, which is perfectly fine. All promised modes and features (RAID5, RAID6, CacheCage) are working from the box. Win 10 pick up controller drivers automatically (at least if LSI MegaRaid Storage Manager installed beforehand) Highly recommended!

  • Comparatively faster and easier to use than the older RAID cards

The LSI 9361-8i is faster than the earlier generation RAID cards, and it uses an ELDC / supercap instead of a Lithium battery so the operational life of the system is much longer. You will want the BBU (ELDC) and the Cachevault card to make this RAID card perform well.

  • solid

replaced a a Dell Perc H710 and the previous RAID 10 array was picked up right away. Running in Windows 10

  • Solid RAID card

Works as expected. Already had the latest firmware.
