They arrest one of the culprits only to have him murdered while in custody. The insurance underwriter starts getting cryptic texts about a future heist. They race to stop the next crime while trying to figure out all the pieces of the puzzle. It results in a surprising but very satisfying ending. Mr. Jordan does a great job developing the relationship between the two detectives and providing more information on their backgrounds. I can't wait for a third book featuring these two characters.
