Compass arrived promptly and well packaged. It is as pictured i.e. a good replica to admire rather than rely on. I expected the leather case pictured to arrive with the compass but it has not. I choose this vendor because I wanted a carry case as well as the compass. Communication with the vendor has been inconclusive then absent. After several weeks wait, I am posting my feedback. I am pleased with my purchase, 3/5. I do not plan to purchase further items from this vendor, 1/5.

31 Jan. Leather case arrived today labelled 'Captain Cabin - Map reading compass with magnifier glass. it is very useful in navigation science." i.e. a larger triangular case for a different instrument. Not the case in the sales pictures. The compass fits inside. after Iposted my feedback, the seller offered me $15 to delete it. I have replied no. I change my feedback- on the item 3/4, on the seller 3/5.
