Awesome product for boats under 35'
This is practically a drop in item for the Sprint 600. New features include offset clutch tool. This previous allowed for water to access the center shaft into the gearbox when loaded. A handy freefall lever is great for quickly releasing the anchor. Only one hole needs to be drilled to match the old footprint and you can keep the switch as a spare. I am a big fan of Lewmar products and this new improved is completely redesigned with all of the previous models short comings of the sprint 600. Best first mate to set foot on the boat. If your considering this you can be assured you are receiving a quality commercial grade unit that looks great.This is practically a drop in item for the Sprint 600. I purchased this to replace our Lawrence windless, they stated this was the replacement model. It work as described but It is definitely under power for my 260 Sea Ray Sundancer. I would order the next size up if you have a heavy boat and strong currents. I does work but very slow on the pull and sometimes it won't even bring the anchor into cradle. Made some clutch adjustment and it is a little better.I purchased this to replace our Lawrence windless, they stated this was the replacement model. Best Option for 25'-30' Sport Fisher
Replaced original equipment on a 2008 Grady White Sailfish. All parts matched perfectly, meshed with the original rope and chain which are high quality and in good working order. Mounting holes and hardware same as the 2008 parts. Original part failed because of age/hard use. Boat has been in the water and fished heavily for 10 years so this was not a premature failure.
