Up Up and There He Goes

Bernie has more fun dead than most people have alive. He is a great dancer, he is jovial, communicative, limber and sexually active. You have to see all he does and all that is implied that he does to believe it. You will get a great laugh

  • Top critical review

    Didn't get better with time.

Some movies are timeless ...but this isn't one of them. It was a waste of time....and money. Not a good value only because it's a total waste. Sad, because the plot and actors aren't bad..... just the script, directing, etc. I remember watching it ...when I was young. I matured and developed good taste. That should say it all.

  • Too Funny!

What an original movie concept! This was a freshly scripted movie that was filled with hysterical moments. I loved this movie when I first saw it and still do. It is a great story about two young guys trying to make it in the company they work for. They find some strange data and take it to the boss, Bernie. The boss thinks they are onto him and his shady dealings. He invites them to his weekend home. They are very happy and honored to accept. Unbeknownst to them, he has planned to have them killed. There is just one problem, the hitmen decide to hit him instead. When the two show up at Bernie's house and find him dead, they have to figure out what to do to avoid missing their great weekend at Bernie's. Cue the laughs...

  • Weekend at Bernie's (DVD, 2000)

This is truly a funny movie. In fact, at times it is so stupid, that you have to laugh out loud. This movie won't win any awards, but it will delight you. Andrew McCarthy and Jonathan Silverman are two idiots working at the insurance company. They have their jobs because the boss, Bernie Lomax, thinks that they are so stupid that he can embezzle millions and they will never catch it. Just by a fluke, they stumble upon the theft and go to him with their find. Without the slightest idea that he may be the thief, they tell him everything, thinking that they will get big promotions and bonuses. Instead, Bernie sends a hit man to kill them while he frames them for the theft. He invites them to his million dollar seaside home for the weekend where the hit is supposed to happen. The hit man ...

  • Insert, hit play, laugh!

If you need to put your brain in neutral this flick is the solution. Guaranteed to cause bursts of uncontrolled laughter. If you don’t bust a gut watching this movie then buy a telescope and go find unicorns.
