Just received but the objective of a minimalistic geared head seems feasible. It may now be possible to use my iFootage monopod with expanded base feet as a mount for my SONY a7 versus lugging a Manfrotto tripod with Benro geared head. I mayhave tried a dozen different mount, head, base, stand configurations trying to become more efficient and productive. The Leofoto may be the key.

Originally, they sent me the wrong version of the 601A with the tubular nib instead of the traditional nib, as in the pictures. When contacting them, we had several back-and-forths and they determined that it was a mistake so they sent me the correct nib and now the pen works as expected. It was more hassle than I would've liked, but at least this seller tries to make it right when something goes wrong, so they're legitimate. In any case, they sold me a good pen at a good price.
