What A Great Printer!
As my online businesses grew, I still stuck with the 2 labels per sheet in my ink jet printer setup for waaaay too long, having to crop them with scissors by hand on the smaller packages. I didn't realize how much time that I was wasting, not to mention all the expensive ink cartridges! It was such a pain trying to find the edge to separate the label from the backing, and some of the labels that I bought didn't want to stick as well as they should, so I ended up using Scotch tape on the edges. So I finally broke down and forked over the $$ for the LP 2844. I was a little reluctant because of a couple of reviews that I read about how hard it was to set up, and the fact that it was a discontinued model. Here's my advice: Buy It! The savings on the ink cartridges alone (it's a thermal ... The savings on the ink cartridges alone (it's a thermal printer) justify the cost (about 2 cents per label). It is sooooo much faster than an ink jet printer, it's already the right size (I'm using 4X6 labels), the labels are super sticky with rounded corners so they'll stay where you stick them, and peeling them off of their backing is a breeze! Now, instead of waiting on my printer to finish its' job, it's waiting on me to send it another postage purchase! I wish that I had bought one of these a year ago, it would have already paid for itself, and the presized labels are always straight and professional looking. Now I bought this printer without a driver, but it was a cinch to download one off of the Internet for free. I did run into a bit of trouble at first, as it was printing the label and barcode on one label, then a 'cut on the dotted line' and date on the next. But I had depended on the settings that it came with (as a used unit), and I hadn't calibrated it to the label sizes that I was using. A quick search on the Internet led me to the directions on how to reset my default to my 4X6 labels, and then calibrating the unit to perform with these labels (turning the unit off, then back on while holding the advance button, letting go when it starts to flash red, then pushing it again when it's green), and I was off and printing! We used Zebra thermal barcode printers for years in our brick and mortar stores, and I was really happy with how they performed. Knowing this, I really should have made the change a year ago. But if you are doing a half dozen shipments or more per day, depending on what printer cartridge you are using to print your labels, this should pay for itself in far less than a year. And that's not even counting the time savings!

Good way to print shipping labels for cheap however setting it up is a pain in the butt. It is older model and has been discontinue by manufacturer.

This is a great printer at a great price. Mine came nice and clean and works perfect. Setup will be easy as long as you know how to use a computer for more than internet and email. I love this printer. Before getting this printer, I was struggling with labels where ink doesn't stick. These labels come out looking perfect and the print quality isn't affected in transit. Zebra printers are good label printers - the Z version uses ZPL instead of ELP cmnds
If you are using zerbra printer(s) marked as ELP then you will need 2 sets of label commend files.

Exactly the right printer for ebay selling!
I installed the printer using zebra's software and drivers and the thing hit the ground running. It greatly simplifies printing shipping labels compared to using my laser printer. A roll of 1000 labels is cheaper than 200 half sheet labels.
