    Love this movie

    My aunt bought the movie on vhs years ago and I watched it till it wouldn’t play anymore! I’m so glad I was able to find it. It was delivered as described brand new in plastic! If you want a great family movie and like dinosaurs get this movie!

    Same characters, different people, still interesting.

    The series is a surprise. The characters are played by different people in the series. The dinos look the same, Waterfall City looks a little different but it's okay. It is different from the Hallmark start but okay. It must have been extremely expensive to make the series with all the different dinosaur animations and places.

    A wonderfully timeless story

    Four and a half hours, and you'll wish it were longer!* Dinotopia is a far less violent alternative to Jurassic Park and a place I'd love to live in, if I could. Simon Moore's script follows James Gurney's books rather loosely, but builds in awesome character development rarely seen in any film, TV or Hollywood. I never have heard classical music of any sort as beautiful as Trevor Jones' score -- get the soundtrack album! At $80 million this could be the largest-budget miniseries of its time, and it shows! This item is the original two-DVD set from 2002, only available as used. A re-release of Dinotopia and Journey to the Center of the Earth in a purple cover is available new, but if possible get this one for its extra features.     Childhood Classic

    I love this movie! It's cheesy but its still a classic. I would definitely recommend having kids watch it, especially if those kids are into dinosaurs. :) The whole movie is based off an artists drawings and imagination. I went and saw the art exhibit myself and can say that the movie is VERY close to the original artwork. :)
