    All around resource for early Breyer models

    Wonderful resource for early molds and models, including color pictures dates and descriptions of changes.The contents are grouped by scale and/or category. The cross referenced indexes are so useful!

    Where To Begine For Breyer Collector's...

    I bought this book about a month ago because I was looking for a one stop guide to collecting Breyer horses and animals. I was immediatly impressed by the full color pictures, I mean wow! The color's are right on and almost every page has the full color experience. I was like a kid in a candy store! All of a sudden there was all these model horses and animals I had only heard about or seen in Black & White photos, and I have been collecting for 23 years. Bleive me if you think you know every model be expecting a wounderful shock with this book! There is so much more than just original models. This book has every slight color variation for the originals, not to mention all kind's of Special Run's, test color's, one of a kinds, Breyer Fest, and sooooo much more.     Skip this First Edition and go with a newer edition if you can afford it.

    Other than liking to collect first edition books, this book from 1997 is to outdated to be useful today for pricing or for locating the newer models. The book is only about half the size of the 5th edition which was the last one printed, and itself a bit outdated now. If price is important this is the cheapest to buy, because it is the least useful to use. Strongely recommend that you buy the most current one you can afford to be the most useful as a pricing guide, or to locate horses made more recently. I got this book by accident, as it was listed as a 3rd edition going up to 2002. I gave it away and now have a 4th and 5th edition which is more useful and complete.

    Good information with great pictures

    Excellent source for any Breyer horse model collector! Pictures are extremely helpful to see the differences among the models, especially those older models.

    breyer 1st edition

    Love to see the older horses and how much they had improved in value. I didn't have this one in my collection and I needed it.. this book is great for any breyer model horse collector.. the only problem is that you have to have the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th edition to go with it.. maybe Felicia Browell will come up with a 5th edition to keep up with the changing and new breyers model horses..
