    Less expansive but a bit less convenient

    Compared to the intel sas expander it's a good product. Unfortunately the PCB is full size. It will not fit in 2U server case. There is no molex connector to provide power without using a full PCI-E connector on the motherboard. I tested it using a riser card (just for power) : it works fine.

    A good upgrade for my system

    It enabled me to connect drives to my SAS ports rather than to SATA II ports on the motherboard.

    My server is working as it should!
