    Super quiet, excellent value!

    This PSU is so much quieter than the stock PSW-920P-1R that usually ships with the Supermicro chassis! I can't hear it over the internal fans, whereas 1R was screaming. Definitely recommend spending a little extra on this supply.

    As the name implies SUPER QUIET

    For anyone who has the regular power supplies, these things are SO QUIET. It made such a difference on my server I can barely tell it's on any more. If you're on the fence, BUY THEM.

    SQ stands for super quiet

    Normally, rack mount servers are noisy and must be kept in a remote area of the office or the home. These SQ model PSUs are worth every penny when needing to run a server close by your work area. The fans move more air and make about 75% less noise than the older stock PSUs that came with the chassis. They are also much more efficient being platinum rated.

    Very quiet alternative

    These worked as advertised and are significantly more quiet than the R version. If your rack server is freaking you out with noise, get a pair of these and halve the noise.
