    Choke may be a fund-raising trick, but it carries the drug-infused plot perfectly.

    Sam Rockwell (3 Billboards and other award winning roles) admits that he joined his director and author to admit they had created a movie that was the opposite of tasteful. Despite the sex addict themes, they deliciously cast Angelica Huston as the mom with dementia who vexs her son right up until her addictive demise. Huston's 17 year history with Jack Nicholson probably contributed to her ability to add characters like Morticia Addams and more witchiness to her role choices. I admired her style, een in this.

    Choke entertaining and somewhat odd

    I watch this movie because a friend of mine told me about it. I knew nothing about it just the title. I knew from the get go that this movie would be somewhat weird. It kept me interested throughout the film and I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. The dark humor and originality of the film was a breath of fresh air. The movie kept you guessing about stuff all the way through, in an abnormal way. The twist was unexpected at the end. The characters were believable and did a good job. The downfalls of the move. Some question remain after seeing "Choke". That is somewhat irritating but most movies do this. Also at points it got a little slow. In essence this is a Good original movie 4/5 enjoyed it a lot.

    Afraid of nudity? Don't watch this movie...

    This movie is hilarious! I laughed and laughed. The main character, a sex addict, imagines what women look like naked. His imagination is not limited to young attractive women, this guy imagines old ugly women naked too! The director does not hold back when his main character is in the nursing home and is imagining the old chrones nude, the viewer gets an eye full as well! It is awesome, disgusting, and so very funny! The movie really helped me to understand the book better. I never really saw the humor when I read the book. But when I read it again I will.

    Good, Funny Sex Movie

    I got this movie after reading another book of his called "Snuff". This is a fun movie with lots of sex and nuerosis. The plot isn't terribly deep, but the characters are very interesting and is well acted. Lots of twists, turns, irony, and humor. You will get a few hearty laughs. It is based around a sex addicts life and his institutionalized 'mother' as he struggles to overcome his disfunctional childhood which gets revealed at the end of the movie. I Recommend it for someone who wants a good movie thats different from the traditional Hollywood Formula fare.
