Real TruXedo without pull cable for both sides of the rear?
Mounts and fits well, however this particular one does not have a release strap for disconnecting both sides at the same time. I did not realize this normal part did not come on this particular tonneau before I installed it, otherwise I would have returned it because of the difficulty in releasing the rear of the cover in order to roll it up. As a so called TruXedo brand, this one is definitely not like the others I had purchased and installed in the past. So, if I had known it did NOT have the release cable that attaches on both sides, I would NOT have ordered it. Due to the price and installing it before finding this detail out, this cover was a waste of my time and money for this one in particular. So, if you are looking for a tonneau cover that can be released with a single pull that ... Mounts and fits well, however this particular one does not have a release strap for disconnecting both sides at the same time. It's "OKAY"
Easy to install for just 1 person and is very durable feeling and looking. Two knocks on this cover: First, the adhesive backed foam seal they include for the front rail behind the cab is too thin. There's a 1/16" gap between the foam and the rail of the cover. I had to go to the local hardware store and buy a thicker foam on my dime and use that instead in order to keep it effectively waterproof. Second, the cover at the tail gate "bows" or "sags" just a tad bit much. I've got the cover installed perfectly but there is a noticeable dip at the back of the cover. I can't give it more than an "okay" for a review as this cover is almost double that of other covers and I don't feel that the value of this particular cover matches up "dollar for dollar" to a cheaper alternative.Easy to install for just 1 person and is very durable feeling and looking.
