  • Not bad, Just hate the online software.

This book is pretty darn good. I got this for Chem 2 and I don't have any complaints about the book itself. Its pretty clear and concise and has a wealth of examples, tables, photographs, and clear writing. I just HATE the online Mastering Chemistry site, hate hate hate!!! It's so easy to overlook a question and you'd never know until the end when you see the final assignment grade, and the site doesn't explain the formatting fully (3 lp on a center atom, EXTEND the bond(s) length or you'll get it wrong!!!) when you draw Lewis dot structures completely and you can miss points easily. The survey at the end of each page is obnoxious and I can't see how many pages the homework is or how many points each is worth. But aside from that rant, the book is pretty darn good but not as good as ...

  • Excellent Content but too expensive!

I just bought this book for class and really like it. It is easy to use and is full of useful content that helps me in my chemistry class. The only negatives I see is that it is expensive (they charge way more than it is worth anywhere and the fact that it is very heavy.)

  • Chemistry The central science 11e

I buy the international edition. The inside is exactly like the orginal page for page. I haven't read far enough in the book to know how good was the content, but for right now it's easy to understand. I had a lower level class of this and that book was very easy to understand compare to this one it is a little more in depth and a bit heavy to carry around like 6 lbs.

  • It has the little things that count.

I love this book because it has many little additions that make using the book easier. For example, the answers to odd numbered problems are in the back of the book, and the pages are differently colored. Because many times I do the problem and then want to check the answer, this little difference in color saves me loads of time and frustration. In addition to that, it has practice quizzes throughout the book, and also a fantastic summary section. Some books don't include a summary section, and I've always wondered why. This one not only has one, but the summary is fantastic, and includes bolded words that were in the text. Overall, I believe that this is a perfect book for the general college chemistry class.

  • good international edition

good product, can be used in US, lighter in weight, do not have major issue in the contain, the chapter review question about the same with US edition, there is down side of buying this edition, its very hard to resell at the end of the semester, due not too many student want to buy, but if we intend to collect the handbook for future reference, this could be a good buy
