The family friendly "All Play" series continues on Wii with NBA Live 09, offering motion-sensing controls, lighthearted mini-games, and helpful visual cues for players of all skill levels. Once again novices can elect to have the computer control all on-court movement as they simply focus on shooting the ball. Fans of the early NBA Live games on 16-bit platforms can return to a similar control interface by holding the Wii Remote horizontally. More advance schemes are also available in an assortment of play modes, one of which provides interactive lessons in the "NBA Academy" training facility.<br><br>NBA fans can guide their favorite team through a complete season, or those looking for some multiplayer fun can partake in a three-point shootout, slam dunk contest, a game of 21, or a playground-style match featuring two-on-two action. In addition to the NBA, the game includes 22 WNBA players and 24 national teams from the FIBA tournament. Online support for up to eight players, four per console, is also available with a seamless interface that takes the guesswork out of hosting or joining a game. As with the publisher's earlier "All Play" titles on the console, Miis will appear via pop-up overlays at various points throughout a match.

    Okay game for the price, but seriously lacking.

    I love basketball and have played 2k and live games before on other platforms. Basketball games on the wii are subpar at best in both control and graphics. Still the basketball experience and the team overview are manageable and entertaining. For the casual players the game could be a great deal at an affordable price. A big downfall to the game is that it doesn't contain a franchise mode and the season play ends after the one season. Since a franchise mode is generally what gives a NBA based game continuity and overall purpose, this game is not nearly as good as the more recently released 2k games, even for the Wii.

    Nba live 09 for wii

    its a nice game its good enough to get through with out cutting the game off. but i feel like the game was rushed and not as good as it is on the ps3 and the other systems. Passing the ball sucks and is not good at all, it fairly easy not for the hardcore basketball fans that like competition. the controls work o.k i can say that. but it dosent have all the features like it has for the other systems, non real in the paint moves and it moves real funny. i will give it a 6/10

    I like it

    I like the excitement of the game. I would like to see easier control of the men. Controlling the man from running out of bounds and sometimes the men don't looks as though they're running in slow motions sometimes. I know they have a sprint button and so forth. But it could be me trying to get use to the controls. But all and all, I really like the game.

    Good buy, 1/3 of orig. price

    The NBA Live09 All-Play is for Wii. It has more features than the same game on the other platform. The price on Ebay is one 1/3 of the original price. It is a very good buy and it will last for a long time. My nine year old child enjoys the game a lot. Thank you
