    OK, but not as good as it was

    I have had this exact type of Old Timer knife for some time, and I ordered an additional one for a gift. The old one had what appears to be bone handle; the new one is plastic. The old one has a nice ship's wheel emblem on the side; the new one has nothing. Still, it's very handy with the marlin spike.

    Knots No More...

    I purchased the 7350T to undo knots at my jobsite. So far it has performed it's intended task quite well. I bought it, as a daily use tool, rather than a fancy collector's item. For the money, it seems like a great choice, and should last a long time. The blade is adequately sharp and the marlin spike threw my coworkers for a loop. They had never seen that tool on a pocket knife before. Once explained of its purpose, they approved.

    Good Sailor's Knife

    I have bought Schrade Old Timer pocket knives before . I have a couple of small ones that are over 30 years old and will still hold a good sharp edge. I bought this one for the Marlin Spike which is very handy when working with knots.

    fine little rigging knife

    I bought one of these for my nephew, for christmas since he's into sailing and I liked it some much that later I bought another one for myself. Don't sail, but I work on a lot of tarps with tie downs and the marlin spike is great for working on the tie downs.
