The Great Godzilla!
This 8 pack of movies (7 really but one is uncut and displayed on two disks) Is a great value for anyone looking to see the big green monster in all his stomping glory. The movies range from true horror (Godzilla king of the monsters) to utter kiddie fun (Godzilla's revenge) with a little of everything mixed in-between. Well worth the coin to get such ideal Godzilla movies, nuff said
Nothing satisfies some people out there like Godzilla can and being a big Godzilla fan, this one of the finest collections I've found yet. The DVD collection delights any fan wanting to get back into the roots of Godzilla and learn where he all started. Even the fact these movies are rated as the best of the original series makes it rather comforting. Never fun buying a pack of movies to find out they all stink, no way not with this amazing bundle. You got great sound, quality, commentary and a few others features. Honestly its like somebody actually took the time to make this as impressive as it could be. And of course you switch between the original voices or the dubbed version. Still works greats for newcomers and keep the original fans satisfied. Recall picking up ... The cases are strong, beautiful to look at are very impressive even if their on their own. Again proves there was a great deal of effort being put into making them. So hats off to this monstrous package and all the classic and enjoyable fun that only Godzilla could deliver.

Go, Go Godzilla
Finally Toho released some of there classic Godzilla films in both the original japanese uncut versions and the dubed watered down American cut's. The differences between the two range from dramatic to not so much, but it's nice to get a choice between them. The original Gojira (Japanese version of Godzilla:King of the Monsters) is the film in this set with the most dramatic differences. Ishiro honda's anti-war/anti-nuc message that was all but removed from the American cut makes this film way more than just a giant monster flick from the 50's. If you haven't already checked this one out, do so now. Mothra vs. Godzilla (Japanese cut) is my 2nd. favorite movie in this collection, again there are quite a few changes in the American version that make the Japanese ... Brings me back to my childhood
This was a nice collection of old Godzilla films that brought me back in time about 5 decades (in some cases), and I wish there were others on there to make the set complete as they were very well produced in both the English and Japanese languages. I thought they were the bomb when I was just a kid and now that I'm much older I find watching them more for comedy value than what I used to believe was yet another big monster "horror" movie on Saturday night! Sure, they are a bit corny, and they never were Academy award nominees but that's what makes them just as entertaining. 5 stars !!!This was a nice collection of old Godzilla films that brought me back in time about 5 decades (in some cases), and I wish there were others on there to make the set complete as they were very well produced in both the English and Japanese languages. Great sound
The packaging and shipping was great. However, I did not realize the movies were not in English at all. I just opened the collection this morning because I was going to have a "Godzilla" day, even now as I am typing, I hear the thump of Godzilla approaching and am getting very excited, I cannot understand the words being spoken. Okay, I believe this was submitted already but I must revise. I just started disc number 2 and it offers the English version which, I watched the original which is really original version in Japanese . I'm certain I will thoroughly enjoy the rest.
