About this product

Product Information

Twisted Edge Extreme Snowboarding, one of five snowboarding games on Nintendo 64, features a total of eight riders, each individually rated in such areas as agility, stamina, and weight. While hurtling down the shortcut-filled slopes, players can perform up to 20 tricks to dazzle the opposition and catch big air. The heart of the game is the competition mode, a series of circuits against computer-controlled rivals on six mountain courses. Five difficulty levels influence the competition you'll face and the courses you'll shred through while attempting to secure a first-place finish. Other play options include a practice mode, a two-player race against a friend, and a six-course stunt challenge that involves spinning, twisting, and flipping through the air to beat each track's target score.

  • this game can provide some enjoyment if you can get it for a few dollars

For all those who have played and loved 1080 Snowboarding, Twisted Edge will take a little getting used to, and holding onto your own copy will most likely be an act of acquired taste. While the game does carry with it the spirit of snowboarding, there is very little else to recommend this game over 1080 Snowboarding. Had the game included a half-pipe track or a button to gain speed, it would have been rated much higher purely for replay value alone. But then again, that would have just made Twisted Edge more like 1080 Snowboarding. Also left out were licenses from real snowboard companies such as Burton or Lamar (Cool Boarders 3 and 1080 Snowboarding both had official endorsements), which would have boosted the game's authenticity. It's unfortunate that one game could be so completely ...

  • Not the best but still good

Controls are a little hard to manage and turning takes sometime but can be fun with a little time.

  • SSX predicesor.

Though it's not the best snowboarding game, Twisted Edge has some wild tracks, colorful characters, and sweet tricks. The designers had some great ideas which are still in use today in the popular SS-X series.

  • Worth The Money

I've always wanted to own this game when I was a kid, but it just wasn't worth $70 at that time. And now the fun in this game is just as the same except that I can get it for less than $10! It's worth every penny.
