EUREKA SEASON 5 - Hail and farewell, dear friends!
Eureka has been one of my personal favorites for several years. It is the story of the citizens of Eureka, Washington, who work for a major multinational corporation. As it happens, most of these citizens are geniuses, from just about every area of human knowledge. As such, things have a tendency to go drastically wrong on a regular basis. The interaction between the leading characters is a major selling point of the series. And the plots have enough innovations to provide a number of unforeseen twists. All in all, it is an enjoyable final visit to the little town where the weird and fantastic are part of daily life. P.S. Great TV, very imaginary, with intelligence!
It is shows like this that make TV worth watching. But it is equally sad when they inevitably get cancelled; saddest being the X-Files. Nothing lasts for ever, except us diehard fans who appreciate the imagination, and whimsy that goes into writing these shows. Thanks to DVD we can enjoy them. I will miss Eureka, and the fact that it took place in Oregon, makes it really cool! Wouldn't a spin off or movie be great!It is shows like this that make TV worth watching.
