    Recommended

    Build quality is solid. Distortion is surprisingly low. At 8mm sharpness is excellent in center, acceptable at extreme corners, however at f9 is good. At other focal lengths sharpnes is very good. Super vide angle is lowable. Autofocus is precise and fast. No dencentering is visible at either focal lenghts. Vignetting can be corrected with software. Bokeh is non-existent. With 24 Mpixel sensor focusing is critical - there is no deep depth of field even at 8 mm. Lens hood is a mix of bugs.

    Great lens for landscaping but bit costly

    Great lens for landscaping. Good image quality. Fast focusing. Good even in low light condition. My only worry is the price. It is almost double the price of Nikon 10 - 20mm lens. Does that additional 2mm worth such a price tag.....well if you are a die hard landscaper your answer may be YES....!!!!

    What a blast!

    This is the widest wide you can get for an APS-C size sensor. I use it on a Nikon D7000, and used it before on a D300s. The image quality is fantastic, almost equal to the Nikon 14-24 f/2.8G lens on a FX body. Build quality is solid. This is a fun lens.
