    Very interesting read on his life & an important time in history

    Sonny & Cher heated up the charts when they finally got noticed. Here were two people who helped to influence the rock 'n roll music, with love ballads and catchy tunes also. It's nice to hear his side of the story, i'm sure if Cher would write, some things would be different but i'm sure Sonny is telling the truth as he saw it. For me, this book is worth reading it you were into their music. Sonny had an infectious smile, great sense of humor & a lot more intelligence than anyone actually thought he had. Great book!

    The Beat Goes On is a great title and fits the era

    The book kept my interest and I feel I learned more about that time in music history. I disliked that it was to short for me and I feel there were some questions still to be answered and some answers need to be in more depth. I really felt Sonny Bono had a goofy grin while writing this book and I feel his writing was how he truly felt.
