Flying by the seat of your vintage pants. F4U Corsair
A fun kit, even though I'm not the best modeler. The only differences I noticed between this vintage kit and the more modern kit was that the motor sticks out of the front of the cowling a little bit on this vintage kit. And the motor was a better fit that the modern kit. Less flash and canopy was easier to mask off on this vintage kit. The action on the folding wings is pretty bad....They're delicate but still functional….That's why 4 instead of 5 stars. I couldn't save the decals, but I still enjoyed the build. I used a 4 blade prop left over from a P-47 kit. But this is the same vintage kit in the pics. I just wanted to change it up a little. Due to the age of the model, I had to make sure to get all the old "glue" off the decal before applying it to the model with decal set solution, but everything was in good shape and workable!
