Definire la musica di quest'artista come facente parte di una categoria ben precisa è riduttivo. Probabilmente o la si odia o la si ama. Sperimenta anche in questo CD, sempre con suoni coinvolgenti e la sua voce inconfondibile. Una grande musicista, oltre che cantante, che è passata da musica DISCO a Cd sperimentali a volte difficili da ascoltare ma che nei suoi estimatori suscita sempre grandi emozioni. Per chi non la conosce questo CD risulta ideale in quanto racchiude in se molti dei suoi suoni caratteristici ed evita l'impatto immediato con qualcosa di più complesso che si ama solo col tempo e con ripetuti ascolti. We BOTH know it was a GIRL, back in Bethlehem...
Tori Amos is a goddess! And this time she brought in a volcano Hod named "Pele". Just like the volcano, she's fiery, demanding and fastidious in getting her point across. Taking back all the "fire" that she have given to men, is stolen back. Introducing the harpsichord, which in my opinion was genius, the songs are unorthodox, some relentless i.e - "Professional Widow" and some heart wrenching like "Hey Jupiter". All the emotions we all have on our emotional pallets, are all let out and displayed in this particular album. It's quite a journey, and definitely worth checking out!!Tori Amos is a goddess!
