About this product

Product Information

The "Flying Tomato" returns to the slopes with more outrageous stunts, backcountry exploration, and multiplayer challenges in Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage. Players join White and his friends as they travel to eight distinct locations around the world, from grabbing insane air off the half-pipe in Times Square, to carving through powder in the Italian Alps. There are 16 events, including new boardercross races, and 75 unique challenges in all, with gamers increasing their prestige and unlocking new characters, equipment, and stickers at every stop. The game lets players recruit new characters at every location, and each of the 15 riders introduces a variety of new tricks and an entirely new way to shred. Solo gamers choose a rider, then pick a companion snowboarder to videotape the run, offer power-ups, and occasionally sabotage competitors, with the ultimate goal of gaining enough prestige to take on the best riders in the world. Controls are once again fully optimized for the Wii Balance Board, and gamers looking for multiplayer action can enlist the help of three friends in co-op "Career" mode, square off in competitive action, or upload their best scores to online leaderboards and see how they measure up to the rest of the world.

  • Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage (Wii, 2009)

The game itself looks very enticing especially by it good looking cover and the idea of snowboarding in your living room. However, once the box was opened and the game was put in, all of my expectations were crushed. The controls are goofy, they don't feel at all like snowboarding and in some cases they are just silly. For example, when playing the game with just the Wii-mote, to jump you had to move your arm up rapidly, at first, this was fun but, later, it just became annoying. The actual gameplay its self was rather boring. I was expecting either a realistic feel or an overly exaggerated feel such as the ssx series has. It captured neither and at times it felt like it was trying to do too many things at once. The races became monotonous and when I began to beat the game too fast, it ...

  • Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage, realistic & fun

I have a collection of Wii games, and I use the Wii fit balance board daily for my workout. Having just purchased the Shaun White Snowboarding game, I am already convinced that it's possibly the best game that I own. Using the balance board, it's really realistic, fun and a great source of core exercise and balance training. True multiplayer support is impossible, because 99.9% of homes only have one balance board, so we just take turns and watch each other's characters perform in competition. The game also challenges you to reach higher levels to unlock courses and gear. Can't say enough good things about it; it's a great game!

  • shaun white's world stage...

Being a snowboard fan, I really enjoy this one! the graphics are fun and seamless, the animations carry the snowboarder attitude. The speed thrill is thee as well as the big air jumps...if you love boarding, give it a shot. The onl minus is there is no way to switch to goofy controls...but fun nontheless!

  • Nice game for Wii system

This is a great game for Wii system....it actually gets you physically involved in the game not just mentally like PS3 and other game console. The only other thing is that you have to get extra components for it. Overall this is good for people how don't like to be active but like playing game; because you will be active playing this game on the Wii. Your legs are going to get toned within weeks of playing this game on the Wii.

  • Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage (Wii, 2009)

Both my 9 year old and 17 year old love this game. Great graphics and lots of fun w/the wii balance board. Only complaint is the same music plays over and over. I mean, how much Blondie can you take? =)
