    Never worked ?

    We couldn’t get it to work. Got picture but no sound. Tried all kinds of hookups, talked to cable company, JVC support, Best Buy for wiring. Ended up buying a new DVD player with HDMI cable.

    JVC HR-XVC14B DVD Player / VCR Combo

    I loved it because it didn't have any display on the video output, so it made it great for using in a live video event, and not having the huge PLAY on the screen when you hit play. It also has a counter on the front of it, which makes it easy to cue stuff up. I didn't use the VCR part, but it's nice to have in case you'd need it. What I hated about it was that it only worked about two times till' I had trouble with it, and it let me down at a REALLY crucial time. I ended up hooking up my laptop and playing it on there to pull me out of the dilemma. I bought a can of compressed air, and blew out the inside of it, and that seemed to do the trick so far.

    Great player! Make sure to buy a remote control

    Great DVD / VHS player so far! The only snag we hit was not having a remote (because there's no way to advance through the DVD pages without one, so if you have something like a tv show, you'd only be able to watch the first episode). It wasn't hard to set up a universal remote, just make sure you have one handy. Otherwise, no complaints!
