BloodRayne is a third-person action title starring a secret operative whose mission is to wipe out opposing threats to world security. As female agent BloodRayne, players will be able to tap into her natural talents for hunting down enemies by using her traits as both a human and vampire. Armed with two wrist-mounted silver blades, Rayne can slice and dice would-be assailants as well as throw projectiles or use various firearms. <br><br>BloodRayne's primary mission will take her to an underground temple in South America, where it is rumored an elite group is trying to unite three parts of an ancient talisman to control the world. As she fights to prevent this, BloodRayne will need to consume the blood of her victims to sustain her life and increase her power. To fight her, the supernatural enemies will plan ambushes or call for reinforcements if the odds are not in their favor.<br><br>As BloodRayne becomes more proficient at killing, her abilities will increase as well. Talents include speed, agility, vision, and the ability to slow time to attack multiple enemies at once. The amount of blood she drinks also makes her stronger, beginning with Bloodlust and culminating in Bloodrage. Cinematic cut-scenes highlight certain actions for dramatic effect as well as further the story as the operative gets closer to her goal.

    BloodRayne (Xbox)

    I bought this game because I love all things vampire. This game puts you in comtroll of a very lethal lady and all her half vampiric powers. Controlls are easy and intuituve and the difficulty is not overwhelming. Overall gameplay is great in my opinion and I find it to be a rather entertaining game. Cut through hords of nazis and hellish creatures on Raynes quest to find her father as she works for her mysterious Brimstone Society. A definit buy for anyone who enjoys a darker hack in slash vampiric storyline.

    Works great brand new with my Original Xbox!

    This game is great! It is the prequel to BloodRayne 2 on the Xbox. BloodRayne is not playable on an Xbox 360 as BloodRayne 2 is so make sure you get a brand new copy to play on your old finicky Original Xbox! The controls are a little different than the controls for BloodRayne 2, but they work just fine with the Xbox controller. This brand new BloodRayne game was pricier than the other BloodRayne discs that I purchased, but it works with my 2005 Original Xbox, unlike the other two used BloodRayne games that I had to return since my Original Xbox rejected them as unplayable. However, the price seems to be worth it since it is the prequel to BloodRayne 2 for the Xbox and is a cool and interesting game to play.
