Product Information

The Nikon SB-30 houses a variety of flash functions within its compact body, and is designed for users of Nikon SLRs that do not have a built-in Speedlight who want a highly portable secondary Speedlight. The SB-30 offers close-up shooting, a built-in wide flash adapter that offers coverage for a 17mm wideangle lens, TTL wireless slave flash capability, and an infrared remote commander. Flash output level compensation (±1/2EV) is also available for non-TTL auto flash mode and manual flash mode. The SB-30's TTL wireless slave flash function works with COOLPIX digital cameras to double or triple the effective flash shooting distance. Its 50° Downward Tilt promotes on camera close ups from 1 to 3.3 feet and easy portability. The Nikon SB-30 offers photographers enhanced flash shooting flexibility for a broad range of applications.

    Great little flash

    This is a great little flash, very useful and it’s pretty small as well. Very easy to use, doesn’t add too much weight to my kit and the lithium battery lasts for a long time. If you own a Nikon SLR, buy one, it’s worth carrying around all the time.

    Great back-up compact flash

    This is a great little flash to keep in your camera bag just in case one of his big brothers goes down during a shoot. Other great use for it is in Macro-photography. Only drawback is it does not use standard AA or AAA batteries which are easily found most anywhere.

    Awesome little speedlight

    If you still use film as I do from time to time it's nice to have a lightweight Nikon Speedlight for those occasions where you need a little fill flash and the SB-30 does the job nicely. It's very small and portable, I leave it on my FM3a and never take it off, it folds down adding to it's small size.

    This flash is small and lightweight, and it has manual mode with variable power levels. It lacks for a test button to fire it. lightweight: 92 gr. power source: 1x 3V CR123A lithium battery small: 58.5 x 83.5 x 36 mm manual mode with variable power levels: 1/1 1/8 1/32, BUT NO TEST BUTTON GN: 16 m slave mode
