    Excellent sampler of WC Fields

    Very funny comedy from yesteryear. It's a shame that younger people have never heard of WC Fields. He really was a comedic genius.I haven't watched all the DVD's yet, but the ones I did watch have superb audio and video quality. They are done by Digital Studios for Universal. The bonus features are pleasant to watch. There is another part of the set that I encourage people to get.

    It's A Gift!

    If you are an afficiendao of W.C. Fields or simply ever wondered where the expression, "Ah, yes, my little chickadee" came from, get this collection! W.C. Fields was truly America's greatest comic. Today's unfunny, profane, and shallow "humorists" & "comdeians" cannot hold a candle to the wit and delivery of this fellow. America and the world, for that matter, need massive doses of this type of real humor and talent. Today, we are subjected to hours of shock humor and talentless entertainers being sold to us as "great". W.C. Fields was considered "The Great One" by many - and deservedly so. Watch IT'S A GIFT, then watch THE BANK DICK and you will see what I mean. Hen-pecked and misunderstood, Fields is always trying to get some peace and quiet, and to sneak away for a little nip of ...

    THE ULTIMATE DVD SET OF W.C. FIELDS MOVIE + a bonus Biography of Fields

    If you were ever going to get a DVD set of W.C. Fields best movies, this is a must. With movies like "It's a Gift", "My Little Chickadee" and "The Bank Dick", it has his very best. The movies are clear and crisp. Sound is great too. And it is good to see, and hear, comedy at its very best. These movies also show, even in the 30's, how risque some of the movies were before censures stepped in (sometimes stepping in too much). But if you really want to see comedy as comedy should be, you need to get this DVD set. I only hope they make a 3rd (4th if needed) set with all of his shorts and other movies not in the two existing sets (of which, this is surely the very best).

    W.C. would be proud!

    I paid only $25.00 for this collection on eBay and I think it was a great bargain! All the prints of the movies are first rate, and so is the box they come in. I always liked the funny sayings W.C. made up, and you will find lots of them in this collection. In International House, when his gold digging girlfriend steps out of his car, her dress gets caught in the car door. Once she's out of the car, most of her dress has been ripped off and she is standing beside the car in her undies. "Get back in the car, my scanty panty!" says W.C. If you like his silly type of humor this collection is for you! Also, for you baby boomers, you will get to see Bela Lugosi, Cab Calloway, Burns and Allen, a very young Rose Marie, and an actor that was also in some Little Rascals episodes. Who was ...

    Great movies. Recommend them for all ages!

    W.C.Fields was an incredable actor. He knew how to make you laugh and keep you entertained with only primative props. No computers, stunt doubles, or sex, just funny acting. A very rare commidity these days.
