    Look for best price!

    Only good value when on sale. Pricing was all over the map from various vendors. Others have mentioned the mono only A2D conversion for digitizing tapes, looks that way to me also. I did a couple of samples just to see if the process works. If your need is for duping cassettes it works great, even at hi speed dub. Most of what I have done is older spoken audio, so mono is fine for that, if you want to digitize for CD/MP3. For heavier production auto reverse would be nice, but cost doubles with more to go wrong. Only minor complaint is lack of phone jack to monitor process (I'm not using in an audio system, but as a stand alone with a couple of powered computer speakers).

    Not the quality of the cassette players of the past. It's OK

    Once you start using this machine you can tell that the manufacturers put as little as possible into the quality of this machine, hence the cheaper price. I am comparing this to my Teac cassette player recorder I bought in the 90's which had wonderful noise suppression features and light touch controls and sounds amazing if you use high quality tapes and recording methods. However the Pyle cassette player/recorder works as advertised. The sound quality could be better. I find the sound "passable" . I have to use it a little more with various tapes till I know for sure what it's really all about.

    Great sounding cassete deck

    I love the way it looks and it's very simple looking as well. It plays fantastic and is very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is into cassette s or just like recording cassetes The best thing about this dual deck that it also features the usb port in the back so you can record any old tapes that you may have and just record the audio right into a sound program for example Audacity it's the best! Overall it's an amazing dual cassete deck and keep listening and using this further into the future.

    OK deck for the money. Sounds alright.

    It does a fair job with the basics, which is all I needed it for. The tapes sound as good as can be expected for such an old medium. To press tape controls you have hold the deck with one hand and press buttons with the other. Also the tape does not line up well when inserting. It often takes a couple tries to insert a new tape to play.

    A quite good cassette unit for digitizing cassette archives!

    I bought this unit in the Summer of 2015 from a need to digitize a great amount of cassette-tape archives I have, and was VERY pleased that the playback quality of this Pyle cassette unit was excellent with superb tape-tracking and very little azimuth-drift. My archives transferred to digital files with excellent quality! As I really did not desire an overall complex nor fancy cassette-dubbing unit, this turned out to be ideal for my own needs, and I feel it was a great eBay transaction. Indeed, Pyle keeps up their good reputation with this cassette-unit!
