About this product

Product Information

With over one million copies sold, this series of modern classics about the charming Penderwick family from National Book Award winner and New York Times bestseller Jeanne Birdsall is perfect for fans of Noel Streatfeild and Edward Eager. The Penderwick sisters are home on Gardam Street and ready for an adventure! But the adventure they get isn't quite what they had in mind. Mr. Penderwick's sister has decided it's time for him to start dating--and the girls know that can only mean one thing: disaster. Enter the Save-Daddy Plan--a plot so brilliant, so bold, so funny, that only the Penderwick girls could have come up with it. It's high jinks, big laughs, and loads of family warmth as the Penderwicks triumphantly return.

One of the best experiences I’ve had with a seller. Very kind. Did everything and beyond to work with another buyer who accidentally ended up with my book. I’m so grateful to the seller and the other buyer for getting everything straightened out. Would happily purchase from again. Great care was given to shipping the book and the handwritten note was greatly appreciated. Very high rating! A+++

  • 8-year-old loves it!

My 8-year-old daughter is a serious reader and absolutely loves this book (as well as the original "Penderwicks" book). She's read it three times in the weeks since we purchased it, and still brings it on long car trips as her book of choice. I love that it's interesting to her and still quality, literary fiction. Even I found myself wanting to know what happened to the kids and their dad in the story, who (if anyone) he decided to marry.

  • The Penderwicks books are Excellent!

The Penderwicks on Gardam Street is an excellent. Well written with wonderful, realistic characters. It's especially suited for girls. I bought it because it's my daughters favorite series. (It's the second of two books.) I've read both books myself also.

  • I have bought several copies of these books for my young friends and my grandbabies (for the future.) Must read!!!!
