  • Black Indians of America

This is a great gift as I've bought it twice for relatives in the past. It explained the merging of two different cultures of people on America and how the assimilation took place. Interviews with persons of American and African American decent prove very interesting.

  • Truly an AMERICAN story -- a MUST SEE production

I am a Ph.D. (Anthropology)and purchased this to show to a Cultural Anthropology class, also showed to Sociology class. Our family watched it too. It speaks to all of us about the mixed heritage of Americans. It celebrates our diversity while supporting our similarities. The BLACK INDIANS are known to the tribes in which they are enrolled and we see in Mardi Gras the Zulu parade (another film was made showing that part of New Orleans), but to know the true history, to give those who wish to learn more about their ancestry the means to do it, and to have such good historic films/photos for support makes it really a strong statement. Just a perfect production

  • Truth Be Told

Like/Love: Real people and a part of history that is dying and this documentary is something to keep this part of American History ALIVE! Why I Decided To Buy?: I Am an American Native with African and European decent! What I Dislike: YOU NEVER HEAR THE PHRASE-WHITE INDIANS alot of anglo-americans are of african decent, but that is part of the DARK FAMILY SECRET!AMERICAN HISTORY IS FILLED WITH A LOT OF LIES AND COVER-UPS! More should have been covered about Natives not registering with the U.S. Government and how some who did, put more or less blood quantium. Besides, Blood Degree was made up by the Government! I Will Speak No More!

  • Great DVD on Black Indians
