Works include paintings, drawings, prints, textiles, stained glass, ceramics, architectural drawings and photographs. The Academy has played a pivotal role in the development of Canadian art, assisting in the founding of the National Gallery of Canada. Funds generated from publication of this volume will help the Academy in the continuation of its programs. These include encouraging young talent through scholarships, organizing traveling exhibitions and providing grants to public galleries for acquisition of works by Canadian artists.
