KISS breaks through into the mainstream with Dressed to Kill
KISS is undeniably one of the greatest American hard rock bands of all time. Already on their third album in less than two years, KISS hits their stride with anthemic party rock staple "Rock n Roll All Nite". A very punchy and more poppy record than their previous two efforts, KISS goes for the jugular with raunchy tunes like "Room Service" and "Ladies in Waiting" This album would lead to their legendary live record "Alive!" which would end up cementing KISS in rock n roll lore as the ultimate live experience. What can I say about Kiss' greatest studio album? This album has all the swagger and venom that earned them their fans. Yeah, it has the boring version of Rock and Roll All Night, but the rest of the album is a rock gem! Sure the lyrics are sordid and sometimes downright laughable,(She's a dancer, a romancer. I'm a Capricorn, she's a Cancer) but what a collection of hungry musicians wanting to conquer the world, one track at a time. Kiss
Kiss has always been one of my favorite bands. Dressed to Kill is a great album. Enjoyed it's feel from start to finish. A must have for any KISS fan.
