The Canon EF 40mm F/2.8 STM Pancake lens (glass) arrived on time in good condition. The lens was well packaged. The glass is as described and matches the serial number in the pics. . The dust on the lens cleaned up with a microfiber lens cloth. The Canon EF 40mm F/2.8 STM Pancake lens was tested on a Canon D5M2 and few pics are attached. The images are cropped. Although this is not the fastest lens, most of the outdoor pics are taken at F/5.6 to F/11 and very sharp.

    Canon 35mm f2

    BEYOND AWESOME! Love this lens. This is the perfect lens for shooting event photography, and any type of group portraits. Depth of field is still deep enough to shoot a group of people at f2, and still maintain faces in focus.

    A Useful Lens.

    This lens is well made, compact, and good for what I planned on. Matching it to a crop sensor Canon camera (70D in this case) provides the equivalent 56 mm - a handy lens that is well made and sharp enough for the casual photography that I do.

    Love this lens!

    Highly recommend this lens for tight places, or for small detailed things like diamond rings, classy foods dishes, and still life photographs. The bokah is fabulous. I like it better than my 50mm. I had a friend in a very small, poorly lit, hospital room, with a newborn yesterday, and this little lens was perfect for that situation as well.

    Better than kit lens

    I bought it to act as a 50mm lens for my Rebel T4i. Great decision! Sharp (when accurate. But I shoot manual any way.) Lightweight. It's plastic so have to be careful with how you package it. Nice shallow depth of field. Love that it opens to f2. Sharper and clearer than my kit lens. The autofocus is wonky at times but I just may need a little more practice with it.
