    Decent garage fan but I preferred to use a wired controller.

    Fan was not too bad to install and performed well, but I did extra framing since the instruction had the fan attached to only one rafter and resting otherwise on the ceiling sheetrock, which I deem inadequate. I also used sound installation where attached to rafters and sheetrock. The flapper above the grate does not seem to open and close well. This is not a problem since in the summer there is no harm in leaving it open and in winter I can keep it closed. Perhaps in mounting the grate there is some stress on the flapper. I used a wired controller rather than the included wireless controller. This eliminated batteries. Furthermore I did not like the remote. If one wants to turn it off after the timer expires, one has to hit the timer button 6 times (ugh). I replaced the ...

    Not as quiet as the name suggests.

    It’s a great idea and good for saving money, but not quiet as the name suggests. The 3-speed remote is not easy to use, and only supports single speed fan, so the functionality is not all available. Requires many button pushes to turn on remote, set timer or to turn off. Speed button is not used. But it does vent the attic nicely.
